JA of Big Bend Events
At JA of Big Bend, we host several events throughout the year to raise money to support our programming. These events also engage the community in our efforts to reach students! Whether you'd like to get involved on an individual level or as a business through event sponsorship, we offer several ways for you to support our work while having a great time!

The JA Big Bend Golf Classic is a fun-filled event for company team building or networking with local Big Bend business leaders. Proceeds will benefit JA Big Bend who impacts more than 3,000 students a year with its programs in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work readiness.
The Shark Bowl is a county-wide competition of 30 students selected from Leon County schools. The purpose is to engage the students in understanding how to create change, while developing a business plan to pitch. The top 6 students pitch their ideas to a panel of community and business leaders. While the 25 semifinalists showcase their interactive displays. Proceeds benefit the young entrepreneurs to launch their business and increase the capacity to igniting the spark of entrepreneurship.
